     The website Faith Over Fear is a faith based Christian community centered around the belief in one God, and the teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord found in the Bible's scripture. We believe that through prayer, meditation, and acts of service, we can connect with God and find righteous purpose in our lives while helping others.      Faith Over Fear was founded and is produced by Ofc. Christopher Bastos, a Retired New York City Police Detective 1st Grade, graduate of the New Jersey State Police Academy, former Task Force Officer with Homeland Security Investigations, and Active Police Officer with the University of South Florida Police Department. With more than twenty five years in law enforcement, Ofc. Bastos graduated from Paramus Catholic High School in Paramus New Jersey, attended Rutgers University, has an A.A. from Thomas Edison State University, is a former CFE with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is currently enrolled in the B.A. program for Liberal Studies with goals to obtain a Masters Degree in Divinity. 

     As a volunteer member for both the United States Chaplains Corps and National Association of Catholic Chaplains, Ofc. Bastos plans to use his experience, passion, and certification as a Chaplain Liaison on campus at USF, and for the surrounding communities in need. As a mission member of the Catholic Student Center at USF Tampa, supporter and member of the American Red Cross and Knights of Columbus, and business partner with Spirit FM 90.5 radio Tampa, Ofc. Bastos has embraced the community and continues to serve others through the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ. Please donate directly to our favorite charities supported throughout the years such as the N.Y. Police and Fire Widow's & Children's Benefit Fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and the Special Olympics.
