Our website and the Facebook Public Group Faith Over Fear by Christopher Bastos is a faith based community centered around the belief in one God, and the teachings of Jesus Christ our Lord, found in the Bible's scripture. We believe that through prayer, meditation, and acts of service, we can connect with God and find purpose in our lives.

Featured Pastor Steve Dailey A True American Hero
Biography
Born to Pastor Ezekiel Dailey and Evangelist Rudy Dailey on December 30, 1966, Pastor Steve Dailey grew up in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. Upon graduating from high school Steve joined the United States Marine Corps and received the Good Conduct Medal. Steve later chose to attend York University in the year 1990 prior to joining the New York City Police Department in 1992.
Joining the NYPD was another way Steve saw serving and protecting others. He served in the Transit Bureau until 1996 and then joined the Organized Crime Control Bureau's Narcotics Division as an undercover Police Officer promoted to the rank of Detective 3rd Grade in 1998. After serving in the bureau for only six years, Steve was promoted to the highest rank for a New York City Police Detective earning Detective 1st Grade. In 2007 Steve received the "True American Hero Award" from the federal government for the work he did with the NYPD and the feds. In 2008 Steve was forced to retire from law enforcement due to his battle with Chron's disease.
During Steve's time working in the NYPD, in the year 2000 he was licensed as an Evangelist by Apostle Padilla and elevated to Pastor in 1992 serving as Senior Pastor at New Wine Fresh Fire Temple in Staten Island, NY. In 2013 he was elevated to Apostle by Chief Apostle Edwards of U.E.E.A. To date Steve has traveled the country ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ and is currently serving as the Senior Pastor at Downey Christian Church and School, located at 10201 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida 32817, with his wife Pastor Marlene, who he is now married to for more than twenty five years and have six children together.
Steve is the author of "Gunz & God. The life of an NYPD Undercover", a writer for Mobility Magazine, and has produced podcasts for Apple.com. Till this day Steve, "continues to speak, preach, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the greatness of God in his life."
